CTTC focuses its activities at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia on heat and mass transfer with generic applications in production technologies, energy and environmental technologies, as well as ICTs. In basic research, the centre is involved with mathematical formulation, numerical resolution and experimental validation of heat and mass transfer phenomena. This includes natural and forced convection, turbulence modelling, combustion, two-phase flow, solid-liquid phase change, radiation, porous media, computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer (CFD&HT), aerodynamics, and high-performance computing.

Leader of Tasks: 5.10 and 8.6.

Design and development of the insulation façade construction components. Numerical simulation of the multifunctional façade. Demonstration in building application. Validation purposes of the multifunctional façade at building scale joining the numerical model of WP4 with the CFD&HT models for indoor air distribution for different climate outdoor conditions.
